Scam. The grammar and excitement gives it away.

If it isn't a complete ripoff, I don't know the life expectancy of a large HP diesel engine like that, but 3200 hours would scare me away personally.

Besides, who in their right mind would mow grass with a tractor that large and heavy?

Here in california i always see caltrans mowing with a big tractor about that size.i did tell my brother that it has alot of hours.he tells me his massey has 5000 hours and it runs perfect lol

If I needed a large tractor, I'd be interested. 3200 hours is a lot, but if used for long days of mowing and well maintained, it's still got a lot of life in it.

Well, did you get it?

It looked good on the CL ad.

Big ag tractors of 90+ hp don't even need their first rebuild until about 5000-7000 hours if properly maintained. 3200 hours on a ag tractor is no sweat, got PLENTY of life left in her! You're disappointed to get anything LESS then 10000 hours out of one to be honest.

It is part of the kanuter valve on the top of the engine. Google 'kanuter valve' and you will find a picture and clear description. Philip.

I think you're wrong on that. Its part of the linkage.

Your right, I just checked my Kubota diesel parts manual. It is part of the carburetor linkage. Thanks. Philip.

whats a cummins?

Cummins Diesels are real work horses and found in bigger farm and construction equippment.
There is a Case 580 Super L close to me with over 14.000 hours on the clock. A good large diesel should do 12.000 hours being propery maintained.

I don't think I've ever seen a Cummins brand tractor.

My Case 580 has a Perkins in it. I think it's a fine engine and I know it'll last a lot more than 5000 hours but I don't think it's built any better than a Kubota.

They do not 'brand' a tractor, but Versatile uses their QSX15, QSX11.9, and QSM11 engines in their product line up. There are others, I just don't remember and too lazy to look up. There is another manufacturer out there that builds 20-50hp tractors with a far-east built small displacement Cummins engine, can't remember their name either. The small displacement Cummins engines are no better than anybody elses, including Kubota. Personally, in large displacement off-highway engines, my pick would be Cat. Philip

Back to the OP, that is not high hours for a tractor, if it is a good deal. My Superduty has 1922 hours (61890 miles), Mazda has 2112 hours (42500 miles), Mercury has 3230 hours (48300 miles), Honda has 1128 hours (39552 miles, Ford 8N 489 hours since last rebuild, Deere lawn mower 550 hours. The Kubota diesel is a better built engine than any of the above. Philip.

Not too many hours at all for an 8 year old ag tractor. I don't know that particular Kubota engine but we just got $36,000 trade in value on our slightly smaller JD in the same class size. It had a little over 4,000 hours but it also had a loader and no cab. If it were closer I would be hounding my wife. I could use one like that.

The B3.9/5.9 was an design partnership between Case and Cummins
There were several Cases that were Cummins powered and I know there were also several CaseIH's in the same class as the tractor the OP is looking at that used the B3.9/5.9 Cummins

You can keep your CAT, I'll stick with a Cummins!

I have run a Case 1840 skid steer with 7600 hours on it's cummings engine. It was used for moving silage on a dairy farm. Ran great, started right up, it was a good machine. Seems like a pretty reliable engine to me, I have never owned one, my skid steer has a Deere power-tech in it with only 1070 hours on it. :)
