Newbie here! Need some recommendations for my upcoming purchase. The one thing I am sure of is that I want green
! Other than that, this is where I need some help...
My property is around 11 acres in size. The land is all open field with no obstacles. The one end of the field has a fairly steep hill on which I am building my house. The hill encompasses probably 3-5 acres of the total field. The rest of the field is relatively flat, "average" field. I plan on finish mowing approximately 7-8 acres (the normal weekly basis) with the remaining couple of acres just being "brush hogged" a few times a year. I really have no other uses or intentions for my purchase other than mowing as I already have a snow plow on my truck, so snow removal isn't a concern. I have had recommendations ranging from the X748 Diesel 4x4 Garden Tractor up to the 3320. I definitely prefer hydrostatic as I am not really "tractor inclined". My local JD dealer is really pushing the X748. He says it would serve my needs fine however I do not like the idea of no ROPS. In addition, a brush hog cannot be run with this unit either, correct?
Any help or suggestions to steer me in the right direction is greatly appreciated! I am new to anything bigger than your average lawn mower so this is all new, uncharted territory for me! Thanks!
