What did you name your tractor?

I have this goofy theory. Cars that have names last longer.

Maybe it's because people who name their vehicles are more involved in its upkeep. Maybe it is a Karma thing, (or a Carma thing).

What I scream out at my tractor, whether by name or by insult, when I bump the teeth on the grapple - it would ignite and burn the very pages of this thread. My own true blood decorates many the teeth of that valued implement. Whether by shin or by top of head - my own mark thereon lies.

Soooo........ there is no name for my tractor yet.

I call it by its given name. JoHn deere , new holland , ford, 35 ferguson , backhoe , kubota .... you get the drift . Why would anyone name a tractor ???????

I saw someone on you tube call the John Deer subcompact "Johney". Don't know why.

What did you name your tractor? Why?

I named my orange one, Kubota and the blue one is called LS. My truck I call Chevy, red suv is Honda CRV and other one is Bravada. My boat is Lund and motorcycle is Goldwing. I never named any mechanical thing and I treat them all with respect even though I don't name them. They also don't have a gender.

My 970 johndeere -- juanito , Spanish for Johnny. My Kubota --- calavasa -- Spanish for pumpkin. This tractors put food on my table and pay my bills. You bet I talk to them when I mistreat them, bump stuff, when we have to work hard . Like if they were horses or mules pulling plows. Crazy I guess. But you've got to take care of your equipment.

Documented vessels have to have names (and a home port)...they don't have registration numbers...

My Lady friend call my tractor simply the "Deere" which I have indicated bothers me. Like abbreviating things because you are too lazy to say two words and would prefer one. Then I would prefer she call it the 6200.

The R510 is the Kubota Monster.
