I have the grease adjusters also. my tracks were both loose when my digger was delivered. I pumped them up and almost 4 weeks later and 18 hours I have not lost a track. do you jump-turn?
Not sure what jump turn is but I baby it all I can. I've been picking up 400 lb rocks and the soil is loose and rocky. Try not to turn at all when carrying a load.

I may be wrong with the name Jumpturn, my memory isn't the best anymore. Its a way to turn your machine with less stress on the tracks. I did it years ago with big machines and it works on my baby digger too. turn your boom toward the way you intend to turn, about 1/3 of the amount you want to turn, put bucket on ground and raise your tracks off the ground a fair amount. now activate your track motors in the direction you want to turn while turning [swing] the house in the opposite direction. Sorry I cant explain it better, maybe I can find a video for you. It really works and helps a lot when in tight places.

Interesting. Would like to see a video of that maneuver.

You want to be real careful about using the hoe to turn your excavator about. Placing loading on the undercarriage in directions it is not built to handle.

Found a couple of videos on Youtube. I see what you are saying now. One says this is easier on the tracks and one says it is not. Not sure but I can see using it in tight situations. Surely must be harder on the ring gears?

I cant say if it hurts the small ones or not, but it was standard practice on the big machines. I never had an issue with it or heard of issues from it. As always, research and form your own opinions. It works well on my machine but I wouldn't want someone to try it and hurt their machine.

Worked with the baby digger today. We have a long lane that is overgrown and full of downed trees and honeysuckle. Cleaned some of it out and took it back to the burn pile. then I cut a small ditch next to the lane to help with water control. By then it was dark, so we tracked to the barn. 20 hours now, we are both still in one piece. what did you do with your baby digger?

Friday I got a few things done before the rain moved in. There was a standing dead ASH within a few inches of the bridge. For months I have looked at it and wondered how am I going to safely get this tree down. It had broken off at the ground and was leaning on another tree. Another job for the baby digger!!20231222_120238.jpg20231222_110704.jpg20231222_135200.jpg20231222_134858.jpg20231222_140400.jpg

There's a dealer nearby who has the Agrotk L12 or the QH12 for slightly under $6,000 and the Agrotk H12 for $6,650. The specs at first glance look very similar. Any idea if the H12 is worth the extra money?

It would be awesome if there was a way to add a brush cutting head.
