Started to clean up this mess with my new Woodland Mills WC68 chipper.

I cut the logs about 8' and hauled them to my Renewable Resource Processing Center (thanks Mike Morgan) to be cut & split later, and chipped the brush. Worked about 3 hours by myself, about half done. Forgot to take any more pics after I got started. Will take more pics tomorrow. Chipper works great, except I need to adjust the directional control valve, it pops into neutral way too easily (easy fix).

Open the openings up a little bit and install 5 1/4 speakers, or better yet some 6.5”.
The factory speakers are straight up garbage.

I didn't think anyone made speakers that crappy. You won't be happy until you change them out.

Finished up project today, chipper worked great, I jammed it once but it was my fault (big "Y" chunk). I now know what not to put in it!

Finally weather cooperated, 'winter' has been spotty too say the least in my part of the Rockies....

The constant April/march weather this winter there has been some erosion even after sub-soiling last fall...Would be real ugly if I had not subbed the field. But at 22 degrees today I got out and box bladed the rough, washed areas. At 22 degrees, the dirt shaved off of the high spots and filling the low spots nicely.

Pointless? Not completely. I can now walk out there much easier and save on work later when spring really arrives.... Not to mention more seat time in the new LS

Since the weather turned cold, and the ground finally froze, I contacted my neighbor who has been begging me to mow some thick brush below his house (same area I mowed a few years ago when I snapped my control arm). The brush was thick and the hillsides were steep, but the frozen ground didnt leave ruts. I like to mow this area in the winter, when the brush doesnt have leaves. I can see obstacles like stumps, much easier. I was able to finally mow that entire area, made it look like a park! (Sorry, no photos. Neighbor does not like me taking photos of his property.)

That was Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, the warm came back and melted the ground. Where I park my tractor is a bit muddy, and I parked it in the soft soil.
Last night, I fired the tractor up (14*F) and let it warm up for about half an hour. I had to move my trailer out of the driveway. But when I started letting the clutch out, I suddenly realized that the tires and chains were FROZEN TO THE GROUND! The tractor would not move! I shifted into a lower range and gear and rocked it out of the frozen rut. Never have I ever been frozen to the ground like that. Kinda worrisome!
Anyway, thats what I did.
