Basically, he got his LS stuck in a bad way (see photo). He used another tractor, without an operator, moving very slow, to pull out the LS while he was on the LS to help drag it out. He would have preferred help from his wife, but she was unable due to a cast on her leg.

Walter, nice going. I'd do the same thing if I had to. I'd try to find help, but like you said, you gotta do what you gotta do. Least you got it out!

This is what i did today.
I got stuck in the pond by doing something dumb but was no problem got the 4wd 50 hp tractor hooked to side pulled semi flat let FEL w/grapple down in mud to hold moved big tractor to the rear hooked up to draw bar put the tractor in granny low ran jumped on the LS raised the FEL put in reverse to help, it came right out shut LS tractor off let down loader then shut down the big tractor.
My Wife could not help as she had a cast on her leg.
I know i will probably get some post on safety but sometimes you do what you have to do.

Wow, that is one stuck tractor!!!!! Good job on getting it out Walt. I've had to do some risky maneuvers also, but if you take your time and think about what your going to do and have a plan you can minimize some of the risks. Luckily you have another tractor nearby!

Thanks guys and yes it was a dumb move in getting the LS stuck, i really need to think about about every thing that i need to do before i do it now that i am in my mid 80s. It is not as easy as it was when i was younger as i seam to be making more bad decisions.

I have an old Iseki with some real slow gears. I can get on and start it. Get off, with it set to idle, stand beside it and shift it into low, low, and low. 18 speeds. without using the clutch. I can than walk to another tractor, car, etc to drive it out. Used it many times to move old cars. I can walk to the tractor and turn wheels and walk back to car and turn wheels. It is very slow. Sometimes you have to do things when you have to work by yourself.

Flailed the last 21/2 acres of this mowing round this morning.
Then
Just a little different. I wired in a Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M access point. This by way of a 12-24 vdc converter to the POE to power the AP mounted at front of my canopy. Now that I know it connects I need to tidy up the wiring a bit. It is switch activated so will always have some delay starting/stopping engine.
Hope is it will connect to the other mesh AP’s I will be deploying on the property. Trying to upgrade my outside wifi to get coverage anywhere on the property.

I was digging out a driveway drainage ditch last week and ran I to a 1 ft x 1 ft rock poking up. I decided to dig it out, which was a mistake. In turned into a 4 ft x 4 ft x 4 ft rock that I could barely budge with the tractor.

I had resigned myself to leaving it there, when decided to give one more go at it. I was able to get it out of the hole by rolling it, and rolled it down to the edge of the driveway, and thought, "well, now what?"

I got it positioned decently, and decided to turn it into a landscape feature entering the driveway.

It has a nice flat front on it, so I think it would be nice to engrave my name and address. Does anyone have any experience engraving rocks?View attachment 672508View attachment 672509View attachment 672510

If you want to try at making a nice engraving on stone if you have a sand blaster you can make tin stencils and blast the letters and numbers into stone it wont be deep but when done you can roll it so face is up and add some stain onto the etched words to highlight it! Or just get a old hammer drill bit the ones used with a sledgehammer and can do a pretty nice job of writing on large stones!

I installed the old quick hitch I have onto my new LS MT342 and did some shredding. This new machine is a shredding monster.

Video of my quick hitch install here if anyone wants to see it: Tractor 3pt Quick Hitch Overview - YouTube

It did so well with my 6' shredder that I may put my old 14' woods drag type shredder on it and see how it does. I have another tractor that usually pulls it and it is only 40HP at the PTO, so why not try it on this one.

The old tractor is an open station so I would rather pull it with a cab if I can. I will make some videos of that when I do it.

^^^^ Just curious ... are you paying TBN advertising rates for trying to move people off to your other site? All twelve of your posts are little more than spam.

He could actually spend the time to update all the other threads where he ranted so much on LS and then left as he didn't like answers but ended up getting another LS.
