I guess this could have been any brand, but I have a New Holland dealer just 10 miles from me and I am in there a decent amount for "LS" parts and maintenance items for my other 2 New Holland tractors. I never have parts issues. Next day its there, simple as that. The service guys are nice and seem to know their stuff and the place has like 20 bays for service. I see the same people every time I go. I have a feeling if this tractor was New Holland stickers and not LS ones, I would not have all of these ongoing issues.

You're aware then that LS manufactures those New Holland models, paints them darker blue and puts New Holland stickers on them. That's just further indication that you got a bad one somehow. Whether or not NH would have handled the service issues differently, I can't comment on. Have you talked to their Service Manager? They can't honor the warranty, but they may have advice or suggestions.

I have. It seems New Holland was not happy about LS Mtron letting LS Tractors USA come in with the same tractors and undercut prices which then made New Holland customers start asking price questions. The New Holland dealers laugh at the LS tractor dealers and say they are a joke. I have heard they are "used car dealers that want to sell tractors" from some people. But whatever. Since the tractor (not the loader) is the same, you are buying the New Holland network VS the LS network. That is why you are saving money. IF you don't need the network, you saved. If you need the network, you really, really lost.

They will not order me "LS" parts from New Holland. I have to order parts for a New Holland Boomer 40 and give them specific part numbers.

That said, the main service guy I have talked to did say he has not really heard of any of the boomers having issues like mine. I think mine is "special". He also said if he pulled off fuel pumps and saw corrosion, he would suspect a much deeper problem than just replacing injectors and the fuel pump. He said water does not corrode the pumps and injectors. I have a feeling my whole engine is bad, but no one will listen to me. Why else would I have power issues and overheating with spotless coolers?

Basically the tractor should have been replaced years back.

I am also not going after the LS dealer I bought this from. I do think they should have tried with LS on my behalf to get me into a different tractor based on my problems, but the real liability here is on LS Tractors USA.

The dealers can only do so much with the limited knowledge they have. The dealer has tried, but still has not fixed it. LS needs to step up and fix this. I just wanted to put that in.

Wow. Gone for a day and this thread exploded.

From what I know, LS has been pretty good with me. Even the NH dealer, who understands where their smaller tractors are made. I needed some small parts that I could not find on short notice. My LS dealer being closed on the weekends. I went into the NH dealership, nervous about asking them for "off brand" parts, and they were extremely helpful. Cross-referencing numbers and getting me exactly what I needed off their shelf. Yes, the NH name is bigger with a stronger network than LS, but my experience has shown that NH dealers will work with me to solve my LS tractor issues if my dealer is unable. I guess my local NH dealership doesn't have their heads in the mud believing that NH makes all their tractors.

As far as breakdowns, brs, it happens. It does sound like you have some gremlins. I hope that the LS network can help you. But remember, even though you are extremely (and understandably) upset and frustrated with your situation, having a negative attitude will result in people not wanting to help you. "more flies with honey than vinegar" type of thing.

I recently commented in a thread about some tractors we had on the farm growing up. Older 1970's era Internationals. When I started operating them, they were already 20 years old. They seemed to break down on a weekly basis. We drove them hard, on a large row crop farm. They weren't lemons, but things still broke on them. Fortunately, we had the knowledge on how to repair them. The Ford/New Holland dealership carried some parts, as they were also something of a IH dealer, but we were mostly on our own, making it work, or driving several hours to a dealer in another city for something we cant fix. We never took our tractors to a dealership, anywhere. All work was done ourselves.

Just because you purchased a new tractor doesn't mean that things wont go south on your from day one. Many people have had lemons before hitting 50hrs with different name brands. You're in the 400hr range? That's great! It's still new! I suspect that if you continue repairing this tractor and get the gremlins worked out, you can add a few zeros to that tractors hour meter, 40,000. I had some issues with mine before it hit 100, and I repaired the issues and will repair the next issues when they come along. Its apart of owning a tractor, any tractor.

I use my tractor not just for getting the mail, but for mowing, digging, tilling, logging, snow plowing, grading, lifting, and moving my garbage dumpster down to the road. I have had my tractor for 2 years, ~250 hours with two major break downs and several minors ones.

Anyway, just my .02

We have a lemon law in Alabama, I have been told that it does apply to a new tractor. I have a friend that has a JD, he has had it repaired 3 times in the first 3 months. I don't know all the reasons. He said one more time and that it would go back to Deere. His father and him has at least 6 JD tractors.

I have seen your videos and am actually subscribed to your channel. My issue is I have been TOO nice for 4.5 years and now that my warranty is about to be up I know I am not going get any help. I have pointed out all the issues I have had for YEARS and they never get fixed. Once the warranty is up I will be out of luck.

There is no way this tractor will make 40,000 hours without a new engine. Even with a new engine maybe 4000 and the body would be worn out. I am surprised it has added 200 in the last two years. Those 200 hours have been just driving through the pasture hours too. Now that the AC is out, its no even getting used.

We have a lemon law in Texas too, but I hear its hard to chase and will cost more in lawyer fees than you get back out of it. I have already lost enough on this tractor, I don't want to give a lawyer thousands too.

Got a rake, made a path and laid down 26 tons of gravel almost like I knew what I was doing...

Yeah, those rakes are invaluable for laying down gravel. Nice work!
