What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I mowed pasture 4 hours, took a break and then went another 6 hours. Open station, shuttle shift. Dust was bad but I can see better for the FEL work. I plan to put the grapple on this morning and start a big burn pile. I never cleaned out the dust from the front of the tractor and mowed for 10 hours total. We have to understand that you can also have a dealer without good service. I am glad that I have a good dealer that works with me and LS to correct any problems.

I agree. When you need your tractor fixed, the dealer is the only source. When they can't fix it, LS should. LS will not talk to me, so if its OK with everyone I will be a little upset for a while.

Let me ask you something, if you gave a company $30,000 for a mower that would not mow and they never fixed it and its under warranty, would you be upset? It sounds like NO. It sounds like you guys would be OK with it based on the posts I am seeing. Or does it make you upset that I disagree that these are the best tractors in the world?

Asking for a friend.

What you need, is a competent dealer. It's highly unlikely that LS or any other brand will speak directly the to the owner. They have the dealers to handle that part.

He has a very competent Dealer.

I honestly thought I had a competent dealer, for at least a few years. But I got tired of carrying my tractor back and forth 4 to 6 hours just to get it back not working. I got no pick up or drop off, not loner, nothing. That would be ok if I could drop it off and it get fixed. But after doing that over and over it wares you down.

I emailed my dealer again today and I don't think he is happy about me airing my issues online.

I did the mowing again like I posted yesterday. I am uploading the videos of it tonight and will see where this goes. I should not have had to make videos of this. I have told him and his staff about the issues I have had for years and it never got fixed. It was always belts. Well you can put on 100 new belts and it still not going to fix the issue I am having. To his defense maybe he did not know the whole issue? He has had a lot of staff turnover in the last 4 years.

Anyway, I will have the new video uploaded tonight if anyone cares to see one of the ongoing issues I have had for years and is still not fixed.

lostcreekranch, I am sure you guys are friends but have you ever had to have your tractor worked on there? Was it any major issue? Did you notice its never the same tech when you go back?

I had a hydraulic cooler burst and blow hydraulic fluid all over my engine compartment while it was in warranty. I asked them to replace the AC compressor on the tractor because it had stopped cooling well and seemed to be slipping. They did not and said it was just belts. I complained again months later and still, they just replaced the belts again. Now its failed and they said it had nothing to do with it, but the two AC compressor shops I have been to to try and find a compressor match have both said without a doubt, if hydraulic oil got in the AC clutch, which it definitely did, that it should have been changed because it will most definitely reduce the life of that compressor. How competent does that sound? Now I will be out a thousand or two if I want it fixed.

I would really like to know, do you think that is competent or are you trying to protect your friend? If I did not have all these issues I am sure I would like him too. He is a good talker and sales guy. Maybe if my $30,000 tractor did what I bought it for we could even be best buds.

Bottom line: You have an in-warranty tractor that isn't working correctly after numerous trips to the dealer.

That's something other than competence.

"lostcreekranch, I am sure you guys are friends but have you ever had to have your tractor worked on there? Was it any major issue? Did you notice its never the same tech when you go back?"

I've bought two new LS Tractors there. An LS XR4046HC in 2014 and an XR4155HC in 2017 plus numerous implements.

I've had a few issues .. some major .. most minor .. but they were always taken care of promptly. If I screwed up and caused the issue .. I paid for the repairs. I do my best to treat my equipment well, don't purposely cause abuse, and do my maintenance. My XR4155HC is actually our "small" tractor. I have specific uses for it .. and different uses for my New Holland TL-100A.

Did you give the Dealer an opportunity to express his side of this? Nope! All we've heard is "your side".

"Did you notice its never the same tech when you go back?"

What does that have to do with anything?

BTW .. YES .. the owner and I have been friends .. since I drove past two other LS dealers, closer to our ranch, to do business with a very reputable dealer .. that's a 240 mile round trip for me. And .. I'm proud to call the owner .. my friend. Does that get me to the front of the line for service / repairs? Nope. I get in line .. like everyone else .. it's what "friends" do.

Respect .. is a two way street.

Would I buy a third tractor from them? You bet!

You should probably.. reserve judgment .. knowing only one side.

Last I checked, this site is publicly accessible. I'm not sure how brs is preventing the dealer from telling "his side."

For someone with a long recurring problem, it means a lot.

What does that have to do with the fact that this LS tractor owner can't get his tractor properly fixed by the selling dealer, under warranty, and LS is not backing up the customer when the dealer can't fix the issues?

So,
1st he has an account here; maybe more than one even. I am not trying to drag his name through the mud or I would just let everyone know the dealer. He knows this because I told him. We emailed this morning even. Sure he is not happy, but WHO CARES. I paid $30,000 for a product that will not work. I am NOT HAPPY either. We get to be not happy together. Wonderful right?

2nd, he can speak up any time he wants but I am sure he won't. He knows everything I am saying is truth. I communicate through email as much as I can so I have record of everything. Sure, we have talked face to face many times and I don't have that in email, but I have everything I have been complaining about for years in email. So he knows, and I know, that everything in my posts and videos are truth. So why would he speak up and show his name and business if its going to get him nowhere anyway. I already told him in email this morning I am not trying to put his name in a bad light because I believe this is a LS Tractor USA issue now. He has not fixed it for long enough. LS Tractor needs to do the right thing now. I hope he is working on it, because he has already told me at least two times in the past face to face that LS should do something for me and that he would go to the CEO of LS to get this made right. Never happened, at least from the LS side.

3rd, never having the same staff means a lot. Its who I talk to when I need things fixed. I do not run to the owner, he will just send me to the service guy. So the service guy knows my issues, not the owner. And if that person is different every time you go, how do you get long term issues fixed? You are starting all over again with the same issue because they are going to say, "sounds like the belts slippin". Its not my job to retrain service guys on issues.

4th, its great that they are the cream of the crop for LS dealers in Central Texas. That does not say much. That is like saying you have the prettiest makeup on that pig. I have yet to drive by an LS dealer that is more than an old gas station with tractors in front around here. So yeah, past up the pizza place that sells tractors to get to the mower place that sells tractors. I get it.

And to quote you: Respect .. is a two way street.

Where has my respect been for the last 3.5 years? I have been nothing but nice to these guys. Its not until I just can't take it any more that I get any show of motion. I always think that nice works better than anger, but it has not for the last 3.5 years for me. I can get so much worse. I could throw the dealer under the bus. I could go to BBB. I could get a lawyer. But all I want is the working tractor that I paid for. I did my part. They have my money. Where is my working tractor?

I have been nice. I wish I could say I think we are friends. But I would NEVER do what I have had done to me with this tractor to a friend. Period. I would have had them in a new tractor after the 3rd try to fix that failed.

Hahaha. Well, what I said above is the real answer. You are 100% right though on the two sides. I welcome the banter if he so feels.
