I'm thinking of writing a rude letter to the lottery corporation.
They've mislead me again (Still).
In the commercials everyone wins and buys European Villas, fancy cars, exotic vacations...
Me, I can't even win a free ticket to keep me in the game.
F'ng defective ticket machine.🤬

Talk to Eddie Raymond Tipton, I think he is in Texas now.

We've never bought a lottery ticket. Never gambled but saw Vegas in the '60s then again a few years ago not spending a dime and couldn't wait getting the h--- out of there. We stayed at casinos on Indian reservations going East that were fantastic, food & motels.
A good friend & his wife right now are in Vegas to gamble & dinner at Pisces in Wynn casino...to get THIS. He's insane!

Scary to say but I was in Vegas 45 years ago with a friend.
Back then you could get all the drinks you wanted as long as you fed the slot machine nickels.
An all you could eat prime rib dinner was $5.
We were comped entertainment tickets because we were there for a business convention.
Saw old blue eyes. I think he was already starting to lose it. He stopped a couple times mid song for no apparent reason.
It's changed a lot since then from what I'm told.

My dad told me they used to fly him to Vegas, pick him up at the airport, comp his food and room...and he wasn't a big fish.

He must have spent more than he admitted to.
One of the morning coffee shop guys would get comped at the local casino. He wouldn't go if he wasn't holding minimum $10K. He started gambling after his wife died. Blew his children's inheritance and the last couple years of his life.
He went from owning several rental properties, apartment buildings, small plazas and a beautiful huge home to living on his pension in a dump apartment. The casino stopped comping him, his kids wanted nothing to do with him. He stopped coming out for coffee because he was embarrassed he couldn't afford it.
The house always wins.😭

They did the same thing at Atlantic City. A buddy and I went there on $49 packages that included air fair and hotel room. The first thing they did when you arrived is give you $150 in coupons and funny-money. We never paid for a meal or drink. I won a $350 slot payout and about broke even at Black Jack. I was never out of pocket and my trip was paid for. My buddy kept taking cash on his credit card trying to break even. It was fun for me. I had never been to a casino.

The most exasperation I felt of the trip was seeing all the gum on the sidewalks and boardwalk. Also cigarette butts were everywhere. I felt like I needed boots. A short time later, I heard a hurricane destroyed the boardwalk. Mother Nature has a way of cleaning up after humans.

When the Niagara Falls casino opened my old neighbor went with his BIL.
BIL initially won at the Black Jack table. He was up like $10K. This was like 30 years ago, so pretty good money.
He thought he was Bond, James Bond, and he was going to clean the place out.
Then he started to lose and went in the hole. He kept playing trying to get his money back.
By the time he left he was down something around $13K.
He was afraid to go home and face the wife.
The House always wins.
