Ryobi 18v compact portable band saw.
This thing is everything I hoped it would be
It usually takes me knowing I need a tool before I buy it, and I have no idea what to use it for... so tell me, so I'll have to buy one too - what do you cut with that?

First of the 2 MF2607s I bought was delivered earlier today.
Straight into the barn. Not really rain but showers and overcast.
As it's unlikely to ever be this clean again I only did a quick spin around the barn yard before parking the yet unnamed beast.
His twin with the loader is still waiting for the grapple attachment. Could be next month.
Sales guy came with the delivery driver. He has immediate cash offers for the 2 MF563s I'm moving on from.
I'll give my people that showed interest first right of refusal over the weekend.
After that...
It's not going to be that much of a cash hit to move onto new equipment. Plus a bit more HP, grapple, new warranty, tax deduction...:giggle:

I had to cut some metal hold down tabs off a battery tray to retrofit a lithium battery in a golf cart.
Yesterday I cut 2 1/2" pieces off a 3/4 iron pipe to make spacers for the BH yoke.
I'm eyeing up that metal gate post that was too tall... And I will use it to cut all metal stock for welding projects.
I'm sure the list will grow.

I slept on a folding cot in the basement for almost 8 months while my place was being built.

air mattresses kill my back
I’m hoping it will be ok. It wasn’t terribly expensive and hopefully is better than my last outing there on the ground a few weeks back.

Any pedophiles in your area could get the "Lorena Bobbitt" treatment!

I’ve been doing my metal cutting for welding projects with an abrasive wheel chop saw. Of course it isn’t portable and stays in my shop.

I have a 14" cut off saw and a dedicated grinder with a cut off wheel. These have been my cut off tools for many years.
For me both pale in comparison to a portable band saw.

I choose Ryobi tools because I use the same chargers and batteries for all my 18v tools. I chose Ryobi for the price and stayed with them for their performance and durability. My friend has done the same with dewalt 20v tools, they are nice and he's happy too.
