A sun hat for gardening and a neck fan. I have 1800’ of sweet corn to hoe… and it’s 90+ degrees.

Throw in 100’ of beans and 256 pumpkin vines… I’ll be busy.

OMG we bought a mattress today for a price that would choke a horse
Good luck with that saatva. I wound up with 2 (one taking up space in the garage)... wife bought one in CA that was OK, if a little soft & "hot" for my taste. When we bought a house in FL, ordered a second one based on the first. Could not sleep on it as it was way too soft & I could barely walk in the morning from back pain. Replaced that with a Sealy after about 3 months that is a little firmer, but nothing like the 50 year old Sealy queen in the guest room. Still like a rock slab after 50 years. I had the same reaction in the Mattress Firm store ... asked the salesman if for that price they provided a partner to use the bed properly. Why is everything "memory foam" these days? No ventilation, sleeps hot, & soft compared to the old "coil spring" set-ups I grew up with.

They have a wide selection of firmness and composition. The foam beds are the softest and the coil spring beds are the coolest. We got a hybrid. There also recommendations on their website for people who are back or side sleepers or sleep hot...plus a 1 yr return window. Reviews were good. Fingers crossed of course.

Did some garden tilling and weeding this weekend that I had put off due to rain for weeks. Made me remember the days of wanting to get out of having to hoe the garden, yet there I was with a hoe and nobody was standing over me telling me to do it.

I spent two days this weekend shirtless working in the hot sun all day long still building this massive pool she bought. I am as as red as a lobster and pretty uncomfortable right now. As much as I despise having an office job, times like this it pays off.

Been there done that. But...
So does a little common sense. Sunburn produces skin cancer

I have spent so much time outside as a youth that my shoulders use to bleed from sunburns. I spent a lot of time diving in the ocean as a kid. And I do usually try to stay protected as much as possible now but it has been in the 90's here with no wind and no shade, I couldn't handle a tshirt in that.

Refurbished Bose Acoustic Wave Music System II, which were made from 2006 thru 2017 as far as I know.

We've had a little 2002 Bose Wave clock radio in a book-shelve and it's time to move it to upstairs bedroom.
Pretty nice & compact design and we have mainly used it as a FM radio to listen old country music in the background!

Bought a made in USA bumper for my JD x360.
After getting the hood fixed up from PO, didn't want to buy that again.

Got some wheels from HF. For my garden cart. Total waste of time and money for this application. Haulmaster 56181. These are NOT Cart wheels. They are wheel barrel wheels. The only reason I'm not returning them, is that I also have two wheel barrels that need new wheels. :) These are not Cart Wheels.

Bot 2 truck loads of "crusher run" gravel for the driveway. Price of gravel is about the same as gold these days. $1500 for 2 loads. (One guy wanted $1500 for ONE load...absurd)

Before Covid, it was $325-350 a load

that price sounds tough. my place is on rough 5.5m gravel road, found a guy who will haul 18t load of SB2 for 450. i'll give him 500. have maybe 4 loads for the driveway improvement. good luck your way

My last rock order was 28T in 2017 for $560. Need to order about 15T now to freshen-up the drive.

Wear cotton: bucket hat, pants, shirt all soaked in cold water. Add water as they dry & sunscreen exposed areas. Work sunrise & quit by noon, rest inside, start again about 5-6pm.
Plenty of water & Gatorade. My 2c.

A new head for my weed eater.

Some bungie cords with ankle straps to fasten to the deck so I can swim continuously. Other wise it's take 3 strokes, turn around. Repeat. 🙃

I'd have to swim with a knife in case of emergency 😄
