There's a What did you BUY this week? thread, so why not this?
Well the "you" part may not be right. How about what did "you, others, gremlins, time or somebody/nobody" break?

I didn't break my welder. I went to turn it on and the feed didn't feed.

I guess time broke it.

All my stuff is old, like me, and I find things break in bunches. I've got a wooden culvert in a tractor road down in the woods that I put in over nine years ago.

Here it is 6 years ago during the spring run-off. The only time it usually flows.

But now it is living beyond it's time. The sides washed out some in a huge storm last summer and the planks are punky and broke without any support under them.

Last week I decided to do a half-azzed band-aid fix to to see if I could get a couple more years out of it. I headed down into the woods with some pre cut planks, screws, my old 14 volt DeWalt driver, and a half bucket of gravel in the M5640. After about the third screw the DeWalt just quit - bang - like the drive gear stripped. Call that broken number one. No problem - I walked back the the house got my 120 Volt drill/driver, hung my portable generator on straps off the L3010's bucket and headed back into the woods. I set the generator up on the ground and pulled the recoil starter. Second pull - bang - the starter rope jammed. Would to move in or out and I could see the spring all uncoiled inside the housing. Call that broken number two. Starting to get irritated I packed up the generator and drove it back home. When I got there I could smell gas in the garage and saw the generators plastic shut off valve was bent over and dripping gas. Apparently in my frustration I was not careful how I ran the straps under it coming home. So that is broken number 3. All in one morning.

I bought a new driver. Replaced the gas tank bushing and shutoff valve, and fixed the recoil starter ( the screw that holds the spring and pulley together came unscrewed ) on the 25 year old Generac 5000 and "fixed" the culvert yesterday.

Nothing, but then I really didn't do much last week, so that kinda lowered the possibilities.

Grapple....again. Need to get the welder out. The new trackloader is just too much for it. Going to need an upgrade or I'm going to ruin this one.

Broke a cast spacer between discs on my heavy disk. Got it back together today. Spacer i found wasnt exactly same size but i think it will work. Length 9 inch and shaft size 1 1/2 were correct but ends not quite as wide.

Broke automatic lube system on my big square baler. Greaser grenaded inside and pushed bits of plastic up into the main distribution block, which cannot be saved.
Greaser $1,050.
Dist’n block $950
Calibration of sensor for distn block $800
UPS shipping of parts $75.

$3 grand up in smoke and still not done baling. Still waiting on parts. Plus it rained for 5 days, further delaying finishing baling.

We are hoping bits of plastic didn’t make it past main block. If they did, I might have to replace the rest of the system for $ thousands more.
