what cleaner/solution do you use in parts washer?

I learned that if your using mineral sprirts in your washer, to dump a couple of quarts of ATF in with the sprirts and it will save your hands from drying out and turning white. been doing it for years and it works.

I know this isn't what you guys are talking about but I have a heated ultrasonic parts washer. Dawn dish soap does a magnificent job! Some times I clean fuel injectors. I put them in a zip lock bag filled with Techron and put the bag in the ultrasonic cleaner. It always does a magnificent job. So good that I don't need to cycle the injectors when they are being cleaned.

Heat helps a lot for aqueous solutions.

That purple cleaner from castrol also does a great job.

I use Irsol (Varsol) in mine. Get a pair of the green Solvex gloves though. It can really dry out the skin (and not really that good to absorb either).

I have a couple ultra sonic cleaners.. used them for little parts.. etc..

I used 50% real parts washer fluid. Flamable solvent based kind...not that water based crap they sell at most places. Expensive as all **** but well worth it.

i mix it with 50% kerosene (because 10gal of real stuff is WAY to expensive)
