What can I put along the foundation of A pole building to prevent weeds from growing so that I don't have to weed whack after mowing?

I have the same problem. I was thinking of 2'x2' concrete pads around the perimeter. They sit low enough the side of the mower will pass right over without hitting em. I'd still have to occasionally trim or spray between to keep grass from starting.

Landscape cloth and small rock. It lets water pass through and acts as a weed barrier. The rock holds it down, covers it up and makes it look good.

I just use roundup on mine . After a few weeks your wind up with about 2" or 3" wide dirt barrier . Plenty of room for the mower .

when we first moved in about 7 years ago I had a problem with weeds in our new gravel drive so I used weedkiller. This old farmer across the road told me that rock salt would stop weeds, grass etc.. from germinating. I also have 18" gravel around my pole barn, no fabric. once you treat everything , with grass/weed killer pour on some salt , nothing will grow there.
