Really gave my rig a good "once over" when I serviced it, and noticed these... Anyone have a clue as to what they are?

This one flips to the left

This one looks to be attached to a lever & spring, but I can't figure out what it does.

The flip lever 'bypasses' the draft control

the other linkage is what actually controls the draft control.

Basically, if you dont want to use the draft control for a 3pt implement, put the flip lever in place. Otherwise, the toplink pulls on the other linkage and will lift your implement based on where the draft control lever is set. It is mostly for ground engaging attachments like a plow.

I couldn't figure out how the draft control worked when I first got my tractor, till I realized it was locked out! The manual was a bit confusing.

Ya, me too! Still messing around with that function. The manual is almost useless for info on draft functions.

with the 2 bottom 14" plow I used this year, I basically set the draft lever all the way down, and the 3pt all the way down, and hit the 'road' in 2nd gear mid range... plowed great!!

When you say "put the lip lever in place" do you mean vertical, or angled to the left?

I think the metal rod ends up pointing straight up. Basically when you flip it into place, it prevents the toplink from activating the 'sense linkage' for the draft control.

TSO's first picture shows it 'in place' for no draft control function.

Basically the draft control senses how hard something like a plow is pulling. And will lift it up out of the ground when you hit something like a rock. the control lever next to your 3pt lift control, will set how quickly it responds.

I think I'm tracking with you. I've tried to figure out the draft function, but had no idea it was locked out!

For the most part, its not really needed. Only use I have for it is plowing...

I have actually used it while using my box blade. With the draft engaged, if the BB starts digging too deep, it will raise up a bit!

When you say with the draft engaged do you mean having the draft lever lowered? I accidently bumped mine down while digging post holes with auger and I noticed it dug more aggressively. Have never really understood the draft. Maybe I need to try that with BB. I'm good at digging in a little too much and having humps and holes.

The further back you pull the draft control lever, the higher it will lift up when it becomes loaded. You can adjust the sensitivity of the draft control by upper link placement.
(the three hole options where the upper link is pinned).

This is good info I never thought to ask about. I was always wondering how the draft control works and had no idea about what that lever was :)
