We had our pump, pipe, wiring, control box and pressure tank replaced 18 months ago for right around $3000. I did the pressure tank, pump guy did the control box due to time issues. He came back to replace pump/pipe/wire. Our well is 200' deep, pump is set around 180'. We started in '93 on poly pipe, changed to galvanized steel, and now have schedule 120 PVC with stainless steel couplers.

My original well pipe was galvanized iron pipe, which was replaced last October because it leaking (rusted away). The well contractor replaced it with schedule 80 white white plastic threaded pipe (300').

Believe that is what local pump maintenance and drillers use... Its all I ever see on the trucks and we are in well country....My well is 468 feet deep, and don't know how deep pump is (no records when we bough property)....
