Dyer much thought I finally got started on my reels. I have scavenged most of what I have used from junk I had laying around. A couple of old trailer stubs a steel I had left over from other various projects. They aren't finished but they are on their way. Thanks for looking. Almost forgot I used a plastic cutting board for isolation purposes. When welding up your flanges remove the plastic or the heat will melt it. LOL. I hope y'all don't have your head in your tail very often.

I hope you are planning on unrolling the leads everytime you weld?
If not you are creating an Electro Magnet and if you weld for very long you will creat a lot of heat on the reels. It will also affect the quality of the weld puddle.

My plan is to unroll when in use. Time is money and I am trying to save time rolling up

A lot of rig weldors complain how it really effects the arc force on their machines! Some can't even leave the leads in a pile, have to stretch the leads out.

Well I finally got the lead reels finished up. They work well, even if I built them. So far so good. Here is a couple of Picts of them on my trailer.
