I am (maybe!) fixing this unit for a church. It moves but just barely (engine is OK) and the bucket moves bt has no "oomph" (e.g. it wont lift the front end off the ground).

The hydraulic fluid (the reservoir is the transmission case) was contaminated with water, so we replaced the fluid and its filter. Negatioe results. There ARE metal crumbs in the filter.

Any ideas? I have no specific info or experience on this machine.

Thank you all!

Finding metal "crumbs" in the filter is not a biggy in itself. One would expect to find them, as a result of mfg. and machining all those parts. But still may be a clue.

I'd suggest you make a plan to check the pressure at various points to determine what the oil psi is compared to what it should be. That will give a place to start (or stop).

Which NH might help get you some more expert answers.
Do you have good shop/tech manuals for this tractor?
