Waxing tractor

Ditto the Liquid Glass (or equivalent) polymer coating- it really helps to allow dirt & dust to slide right off. Many times only a hose --air or water-- is all that's required to keep it clean. Do the same for my cars.

I agree with one of the earlier posters.... I use mine like a tractor but I take care of it as well. I waxed it when I first bought it and I think I did just the hood a year or so later. It stays in the garage so I can't see doing it too often. I do however keep my clothes on!

The closest to waxing I ever get is when I spill a little diesel fueling up. When I wipe the fuel off the cowl, I just keep wiping until the whole panel looks the same. This probably does more harm than good, but diesel is basically kerosene and the Brits call kerosene paraffin. Where I come from paraffin is wax. There, I waxed my tractor.

I favor a Brazilian wax. I wish I had to go a mile further and am jealous if you do.

If you're too lazy to do it, guess you don't care what the tractor looks like. I do most of this naked. Makes it fun to do. Of course, it'd be ever better if the wife joined in.

To some of us it is obviously a joke.

To others of us it is obviously a very serious matter.

To me it's a joke. I can barely find time to grease and service my tractor. I don't have the luxury of time to wax my implements (or body parts). If I did have the time, I'd probably still choose to spend it tinkering or building something fun. I do wash my tractor a few times a year, though; and I feel silly doing that.
