I have an area about 50' x 20' where water sits in the spring or after heavy rain. 3 surrounding properties slope in this general direction and it is the lowest spot on my property. ( so regrading the water away is not an option)
I have thought of 2 ideas and want to know if anyone can add to them or suggest a better option.
1. Dig out the whole area a foot or two in depth, replace with clear gravel, fabric and top dress with top soil.
2. Sloping grade toward Some kind of french drain / culverts, four or five feet deep, 3 or 4 feet wide.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
