Are FEL hoses covered under warranty? Dang if a hose aint busted now. I aint never gonna get 50 hours on that 7010.

Can you post a pic of the blown area? I think a lot may depend on how it blew. Rubbing, pinched, burst, or whatever. It's pretty easy to look at a hose and see why it blew. Usually, if there is no kind of external obvious reason why it blew, the dealer/manufacturer should cover it. BTW, most hose manufacturers warranty their hoses for 1 year.

According to the loader manual that came with my tractor the warranty is valid for 1 year for all hydraulic components and attachments and 2 years on other loader components from the original date of sale. There are a lot of provisions that will void or not be covered under warranty, a summary of which include misuse, abuse, lack of maintenance, negligence, fire, accidents, changes or modifications by the owner. Basically if its over 2 years old the hrs. don't matter.

Wow, I guess it did explode. There's no evidence of abuse, so my guess would be warranty. Hoses aren't perfect, they do sometimes get made with weak spots.

I was really surprised that it did the damage to the hose it did! I'm sure they'll warranty it, but it's still going to cost me a few hours and some diesel. Geuss I can't complain, I've only burst 2 hoses in 5 years and the other one was my fault. I was pushing brush and a limb sprung back and whacked the hose hard enough it caused it to burst. This time I was just moving dirt with the bucket.

Hey Joel.... which hose was it and can you email some pics of the position the bucket/loader was in when it happened? I have a theory, but will need your evidence to support or deny. You can email them to me if you like.

It's the hose on the FEL that runs from the bucket end of the tilt cylinder to a splitter on the cross beam of the loader. It is in a really weird position. Bent almost double all the time. I'll try to get a pic of the new hose in place. The bucket was tilted slightly down. I was getting dirt from the bottom of a pile. The pile was over a slight embankment so the bucket was tilted down a ways so I could get the rest of the pile.
No trouble getting it warrantied!
Now if I can just get the broken tie rod mount replaced.

The hose was twisted when it was installed. You might want to check the rest of them. 7 degrees of twist will cut the hose life by more than half.
