A gent up the road has a 3 year old 50xx with a cab. Currently has less than 500 hours on it.
In three years and 500 hours he has had many issues that I see as way premature for a tractor. His AC compressor seized, his AC rheostat knob cracked off. And the other day his Waterpump is leaking.
The AC compressor was very expensive and the wait time for the part took him into the Fall. The dealer didn't warranty it. The AC rheostat is part of a Cluster and is not sold separately. So this $50 rheostat was priced out at $2000 FOR THE PART ALONE! The wayerpump failed snd i just spent 6 hours to swap in a new $200 waterpump. Way too much stuff had to get pulled off this engine to get to a waterpump that was still crazy hard to get to hardware. 500 hours and dealer wouldnt help at all, warranty wise.
Another dealer didn't have the pump, he wanted $300 for the pump, $700 for shipping and $3000 to install. Yet another dealer wanted $198 for the pump, $100 shipping and figured $700 for the labor. $700 vs $3000 labor. $100 vs $700 shipping. What kind of crooks are some Dealers?
His tractor and the way mahindra forces you to buy modules rather than individual parts has taught me to RUN.
I'll post again when he gets me the name of the thieving dealership.
