Warning About Dealers And Their Pricing

Yeah the new ones aint cheap. They got about $5,000 added to them in pollution Controls.
I purposely sought out the used ones with lower hours in reasonable shape and never looked back. Both have been real good so far. Had the ZD331 6 years and only a minor mower gearbox rebuild. The F3680 is too early to make a judgement, but I’m not worried.

Have you ever run one on hills?
As I stated in my earlier post I run my ZTR on hilly terrain with no issues. But you will always get the jack wagons who will mow steep ditch banks and such that will roll over or slide down the hills then ***** and complain they don't mow well on hills 🤪 .Common sense has left our society the reason for the lawyer stickers on all of our equipment.

A zero turn on hills ?
Yes I have 2 of them.
If they lose traction they can slid down a hill, gear reduction would do nothing to help traction loss, and rear brakes would not help there either, if traction was already lost

You once again planted the seed in my mind to take another look. Maybe used equipment would not be a bad way to go at this point. I buy all my cars used but then again it's apples and oranges when your talking about buying used equipment...

Traction can be one component of the problem due to the shifting weight but what can also happen is the tires can have traction and they start spinning forward and you return the bars to neutral but the wheels keep spinning forward. Gear reduction in this sense would help.

Its always good idea to keep kicking the can down the road before purchasing equipment as it is getting cheaper. 🤪 We are living in volatile times that most of us have never seen

I still don't get it.
If the wheels are still turning forward just pull back a bit more on the sticks.
