take the total weight of the rtv and double it .then add a few hundred pounds to that and that will give you the size winch you need.for a machine that heavy i wouldn't go with anything less than 4k. when it's on dry ground and your not stuck thats one thing but when you bog it down in the mud you add lots of resistance to it and that doubles the weight of the utv. i would say get a 4k and make sure you use a snatch block that adds pulling power to the winch. the front and rear mounts are nice i had that setup on my hpx. the only problem i had was while i was in the prosecc of getting stuck going back and forth it packed mud into the reciever hitch and i couldn't get the winch to mount up in the rear plus it was under water and mud so i couldn't really get down there to clean it out so it rendered the rear hook up useless when i really needed it most.now it did come in handy when i was pulling other out the holes or pulling on trees.and one time i was broke down and could only get the trailer to the rear of the unit so i used it to pull the hpx up on the trailer.if you do get the front and rear setup put a plug or something inside the reciever hole to keep it clear when you need it.
