Looking back at your reply I realize what angle you were coming from, sorry that I mistook you. You are right in what you say... and I agree with what you said. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I will admit I am a regular at Wal-Mart. The grocery shopping is at IGA, everything else (but auto and tractor stuff) is at Wal-Mart. Why? Because it is a matter of convenience. With the rise in fuel prices, I refuse to run all over town when I can buy everything in one place. Wal Mart is closer to me than anything else, but it is still 30 miles away. On the other hand, I do try my best to buy things at the local Co-Op and auto parts store. I hate to see these small businesses shut down due to lack of revenue. You get personal attention at these places. Other than the greeter at the door, try getting a little attention at Wal Mart.

We are a family of 6,my wife is a homemaker and home schools our youngest daughter. We shop Walmart/Aldi's/Sams Club/IGA/Dollar General/Big Lots/yard sales/thrift shops and drive used vehicles /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. We have to try and get the most bang for our buck.

Life's good !!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It doesn't matter where you buy, it is most likely imported any how. Even the old farmer/rancher standards such as Wranglers, Levis, Big Mac, Carhartt are imported now. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm right there with you, Tposts. We've raised five of our own and two foster children, on a single income. We shop at all those places, and buying power comes way above brand or US-made loyalty in our book. The best store hereabouts (30+ miles away) is Half of Half, an outlet for seconds and discontinued merchandise. Absolutely amazing what you can get quality name-brand clothing and other stuff there for on sale. I've never had a new car either.
