Seems to Me that spring and summer is round the corner, today is very bright sunny springtime day here in Finland.

This is small lake close to My summer cabin, today I walking on icy lake in bright springtime day !

That is really beautiful. We all live in such different worlds. I've never walked on a frozen lake, and actually never seen one! How thick is the ice? How much longer will it remain?

Never walked on ice like that myself, must be beautiful, the video was. I was in Canada one time and was riding in a boat in the moose river, very near saint James bay, the little bay on the bottom of Hudson Bay. We floated over a 2 1/2 ton fuel truck that tried to cross the river when the ice was to thin. They used the ice for a road to get from Moosonee to Moose Factory. A very scary thought to this southern boy.

Yes, this kind forums are really interesting because You can talk different people in really different places. Ice is right now about 20 - 30 cm thick, ice thickness depend how cold a winter are and this winter wasn't really cold.

I think that lake ice cover still remain few weeks, ice cover melting down normally middle of april and early may time period.

Maybe it is if You not get used to it but if ice cover is thick enough You can drive it by car, tractor and even a truck.

Ice is great. It is you southern boys who want to ride a snowmobile so bad you have to run it on water that I do not understand.

Yes, I have seen that video few times ago and it not looking nice, glad they wasnt very deep water.
