Wagon wheel deck rail project pic

Found this wheel in the woods and brought it back to my camp. Ripped a eastern red cedar log in half for the upper and lower rail. Primed and painted the wheel. It's 4' x 4'.
Added some copper cups for the "chuck wagon" look. Rustic but functional.

Anyone got a guess on how old the wheel is? All cast iron, heavy as heck.

I found it interesting that your picture shows a really old wagon wheel (say 1800's) and right next to it is a Home Depot orange bucket.:laughing:

1910? It looks like a wheel off a farm implement, like a buck rake. I would put it right at the end of horse farming. People started putting up hay with tractors in the 1920s.
