Yanmar 2310D
Looking to purchase a Yanmar 2310D that comes with a VTEK loader and backhoe attachment priced at $15k. After looking around there is hardly any information in regard to the VTEK loaders. Actually almost non existent. Are they even worth trying? I have 1.5 acres and am looking to do some trenching, spreading gravel, landscaping with the machine, but don't want something that will break and crap out of luck for parts. The machine itself looks to be in great condition. Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Key word in your question is "looks". If you are in AZ and looking at the seller in Gilbert, be careful.

What even is that machine...? Looks like something you would buy and use in rural asia. I would find something used that meets your needs for ~$15k before I would buy one of those pieces of Chinesium.

I have never heard of VTEK loaders or backhoes. I would not be too concerned about sourcing parts from the maker since both attachments are quite simple and you can repair or replace parts with aftermarket parts.

Appreciate the sentiment. I have been searching here in AZ. Any good recommendations for another option for ~$15k?

Where would be some good options to look for aftermarket parts?

Yes - VTEK seems to be a light duty 3PT BH set up. The 3PT BH is not a good idea, and as others have said - spend 15K on a used sub compact TLB -Kubota BX25, Mahindra eMAX, or Massey 17 series, or Yanmar SA325 with a proper integrated BH.

Vtek is from Vietnam. Same place those tractors were pieced together and painted. Just research Vietnam refurbs on this site.

To date, the YTOG still has not found details on the Vietnam VTEK loaders.
Several members on TBN and the YTOG own machines with the VTEK loaders. They do last a decade, then need seals or a hydraulic valve controller replacement.

Recently, the VTEK loaders are on gen-3. Still too hard to determine what these are an differences.

@rScotty has been a great help pointing the owners to surplus center.
Often these are very good replacements. The site takes a little time to fully load, yet worth the wait when your machine is down, and no place to go for VTEK part replacements.

Another loader brand with some info is BullDog. We often see this brand on both domestic and gray market machines for nearly every Japan tractor brand. Their Asian site loads very slowly, but there are data sheets and contacts. The company use to have a US parts distributor in Texas before 2020.

You are correct. We've had more than a few members here state this over the years.

So what usually breaks on a hoe or FEL? First are hoses. Maybe next are cylinder seals. My 25yo Bulgarian backhoe attachment with maybe 200-250 hours on it has also needed seals for the stack valve. I also replaced the Heim joints on both joysticks, plus the bearing inserts on the main boom pivot.

None of these parts need to come from the maker. I go to eBay or Hercules for cylinder or valve seals, and I usually buy standard length hoses from an internet seller. Just got a new pair of hoses for my FEL's 4n1 bucket from Hillside Hydraulics in Eureka, CA. If I need hydraulic adapters, I like Discount Hydraulic Hose, Surplus Center, or eBay.

I keep the Ford around for Hydraulics. and built like a tank! The Yanmar Pto and 3Pt. lift only. IMO. Frame and pump just not made for it. I just had to put the ghetto job on the lower lift pins. Metric Threads literally gone on it!! Lawn mower the FM. and BB. only. Yrs. Ago Kubota FEL. BH. major Hyd. pump leaks in a couple yrs.. KuBota in Gainsville Ga. local know them well so I passed on it for sure! Water septic lines was rough on it I guess. back to the shop Again to split it  Fredrick sell and use FEL.'s so I would check with them. I can't recall a BH. on one?

The base tractor is a Yanmar. A top quality brand, a competitor to Kubota, also made in Japan.

But. Some you see here in the US with a museum-quality paint job are on their second or third life. This model is now some 45 years old. These old ones are typically sold used after a working life in Japan. Then taken to Vietnam and likely put in service there for a second life. Then finally 'refurbished' by a sweatshop that is not permitted to buy genuine Yanmar parts.

Yanmars are fundamentally near bulletproof, Deere uses their engine in some models. But these 40 year old recons with the nice paint jobs are a gamble. Many are excellent.

But you won't know until you have run a 'recon' for a while if some critical replacement part was made by handing a kid a chunk of steel - or a part off some other brand of tractor - and a file to carve it.

The loader and backhoe are brands fabricated in Vietnam to put on these recons. With no factory parts offered. You may have to adapt common US stuff as things wear out over the years.

That dealer specializes in importing these recons. Ask and see if he tells you the actual year model for that Yanmar 2310D.
