Voltage regulator on YM146

Could someone tell me where the voltage regulator is located on a Yanmar YM146 tractor?

The battery is not charging yet I have 30-50vac coming from the alternator. I suspect the regulator but can't find it without taking everything apart....

The current limiter should be on the firewall.

His post was in 2005. I"am willing to bet that this tractor has already been repaired by now. Or he has a real slow mechanic
