I won the bid on Big Iron for 4 new 16.9x28 tires from Mahindra with the rims. All 4 tires are mounted all the same direction. So I thought I could mount one as is and have the tire shop swap one. I will resale the other two.
The wheel and hub are not at my tractor's settings, so today I took one in the barn and blocked it up and swapped the hub 180 degrees. But it seems the valve stem will be on the inside. These rims match my rim part number. But mine were made in 2005 and these rims were made in 2018.
Has Mahindra started putting valve stems inside on their 50-70 hp rear rims? This is the only way the spacing will match mine on my 6520.

I cannot think that would be right. It would be difficult to check/air up the tires but then again maybe there is a reason.

Only thing I can think of is whoever welded these hub mounting brackets to the rim put them on the wrong side. They suppose to be near the side the valve stem is on. These "new" rims have the bracket on the far side from the valve stem. No spacing position I try will work for me using them with the valve stem outside. I could change the spacing, but I don't wanna go there. I don't wanna lean over a muddy tire to check air pressure on an inside valve stem either.

So I will have the tire shop demount 4 tires and mount the 2 new tires on my rims.
hugs, Brandi
