well i have a circuit of three valves on my homebuilt tractor. the pump flow goes to an adjustable flow divider were the control flow goes to a motor valve and the excess goes to a tee fitting which supplies both the steering and loader valves but the steering valve wont work when the tee is plumbed in.when the excess flow from the divider goes into the steering valve it works until the fluid get warm then works in fits and stops.

Item 1: The priority flow must go to steering not excess flow. Steering is a must while the FEL is an option.

Item 2: What type of spools are being used for the loader? My guess would be open center in which case whenever the Tee is used the oil is going to tank under little or no- load so the steering circuit would only work under low pressure conditions. The warmer the oil the oil the less pressure loss through your system and less steering available.

I concur with oldnslo. What are the specs on the divider valve? Is the flow equally divided?

im using one of those adjustable flow divider i have the flow split 70/30

would it work if i run the two valves off of a power beyond fitting

If you use the first valve, and then divide, you may kill the steering. If the first valve is in neutral, then you will have the 70/30 split. If the source is a 10 GPM supply, that means that 7 GPM is going to the priority circuit, and 3 GPM is going to the other outlet. Do you have the 70/30 reversed? Power steering doesn't need much to steer.

This is a FIXED FLOW PRIORITY DIVIDER. 3 GPM for priority and the rest for the main circuit.

This valve would go in the circuit after the pump and then the selector valve in series. .
