Hey guys, I posted a couple days ago about a valve I couldn't I'd. Found out from tractor tech that they were Gannon gold seal valves. One of the spools is cracked and I'm having trouble locating just the spool or even a whole valve for that matter. Anyone have any ideas?

Is for a backhoe, or loader or something else?.

Have you looked at Surplus Center?

Oops, it's for a Gannon box scraper. There are three of these valves on a manifold. Top link, side link, and rippers. I didn't see anything like this on their site that was a manifold mount.

So this is a bank of 3 valves mounted on your tractor with quick disconnects?

It is mounted to my top plate under the seat of my Ford 3500. There are no quick disconnects on it though. Here is a link to the setup. Valves Gold Seal | Messick's

So it uses an adapter plate to match up to the or ford hyd block, then is a stacking valve assy?

Yep. Adapter plate matches up with the top of the Ford's plate, then a manifold splits that apart three ways. From what I could find the manifold style is called laminar manifold. It's a pretty trick setup. I will try to get real pics of it later today.

Here's a couple pics of the assembly. As much as I'd hate to, I would even consider going to a different system, but I don't know what I would need to do it.

I've just been looking around some, but was wondering if something like this would work? At least it's readily available. Isn't there a remote adapter manifold for these fords? seems like i've come across them but didn't pay too much attention since I thought I was all good to go.

In searching through some more of the site, would the hv4902 be the correct plate then? If so, do I need a factory block of plate or will a flat plate be ok?

here is what you could do.

you have a bank of 3 valves now right? and one of them is bad... but you need that 3rd one.

get the power beyond plate... put it UNDER the plate you have.

unstack your valves and remove the bad one, and restack with the 2.

now use the PB plate to run another valve bank.. say, mounted on the fender. surplus shop sells cheap OC PB capable valves. you could get a single, dual, or tripple mounted to the fender and then have the dual on the cover.

that keeps you from having to buy an oem option cover and ditching the 2 good valves you have left.

single pb vlaves are less than 100$.. that and the pb plate and you will be at just over 200$ for the pb plate, 3rd valve, and some in/out hosing from the plate to the other valve.

No relief valve on this setup.

The other two valves that weren't cracked wouldn't return to center when the handle mount was tight. I messed with it for awhile, then took it to a hydraulic guy, the third time getting them back and they still aren't put together right. I'm thinking about abandoning them altogether. I didn't know if I'd need pb or not. That's a pretty cool idea for putting that other manifold below it. I thought I was the only one up this time of night

if the other 2 valves work, but just won't detent return, you can keep them and just use that plate as the 'top' that saves you from buying an OE style top that you will need for the pb sandwich plate. And yess, you need a PB valve,... remember.. there is a 3pt lift at the end of the circuit.. and non PB valves generally don't tolerate pressure on their return port.

If you abandon them, just find the appropriate blank plate for that era of a machine.

No relief valve on this setup.

not much of an issue... why? because the system relief sets on the botton of the hyds section before oil ever make sit up to that valve manifold on the hyd top cover. ford made it idiot proof that way..

He got them to where they return now, but my handles would be upside down. I didn't realize that the 3 point was after the remotes. I should have looked in the book first, sorry. I will check out some valve options and see what I can come up with. I haven't dealt with this stuff since school and am embarrassed to say I forgot most of it. I didn't think I needed relief valves in the control valve partly because the ones that I have don't. Thank you for all the help so far.

Did some more looking now that I'm home, thinking if I can get the cracked spool to seal, bolt all that together, put it on there and cap the work ports and they could potentially be used for something later, so this valve set is like a options cover just like you said soundguy. Get a HV4092. I came across this valve and I believe it would be correct for my application? Would the flow be ok on it?

your machine makes a max of 4gpm...

Ok. Thinking about it now, I don't know why I asked. I have the pump apart and it's got the 5/8 pistons in it which were listed as 5.3 gpm pump. Duh. You agree this valve and that plate are the correct configuration? The reliefs would be redundant, but they don't list and with pb and without reliefs. Thanks again

I just came across the hv5902 plate and it says that it has a pb port. Looks like the hv 4092 only has two ports. Would it be the 5902 plate with that valve and the pb ports hooked to each other then? Sorry for all the questions
