Cushion yes, stop no. When we switched to straps we discontinued there use.I like and use them. Provides some cushion and keeps everything tight so it doesn't rattle. I use the $5 one piece ones from scamazon.

I have a mule Pro FXT that I bought in the fall of ‘14. Coming up on 10 years. I use it heavily for firewood as you do. Plow a 1/4 mile drive with a 12% grade hill. Have a buyers receiver mount spreader for the back that I’ll load full of limestone 8’s for traction. Have taken it out west multiple times and hauled 6 adults around elk hunting. It’s unstoppable. I would like to get a new one, now that there is the 80 hp twin cylinder, but am a little reluctant.
