Utility Pole

   / Utility Pole #2
Odd is the minimum I'd give this.

As for no charges, I can think of one that would fit...Criminal Negligence Causing Death. (Your negligent when doing something or not doing something and by such action, you show reckless disregard for the lives or safety of others which culminates with someone being killed.)

Pennsylvania may not have a similar statute, so no charge. Of course, if the deceased was warned (someone yells "look out" or "timber") and he then ran under the falling pole, well again, no charge.

But the question remains, why were they cutting down the pole in the first place? I think the reporter should have asked that question. If the guys were pulling a prank or damaging property, the other charges should be entertained.

There, that's my 2 cents...:D
