i am looking for a used front snowblower for my 2210. Quite often compatible snowblowers show up but I cannot identify the hitch application. For example there are often front quick tatch hitches on EBAY that the seller can't identify but have serial numbers. Is there a website page to identify attachments by serial number? I have searched deere.com parts catalogs online and only get frustrated.

No website that I know of (public anyway), I think you will have to give the S/N to a dealer to track...

Thanks. It seems like they intend that used attachments should not be easily identified to use on anything other than the machine it was sold with.

Most of the 2-stage blowers and front blades are all the same, it is only the QH that is different for each tractor.

Kenny is correct, the quick hitch format dates back to 425, 445 garden tractors. The hitch's are what is different. Other than width which can be hard to identify in a picture one of the methods I have used to identify garden tractor vs compact tractor hitches is to look closely at the parts diagrams. You will find either upper or lower pin mounting and upper or lower hook locations. Is not a perfect system but if you look close enough at the diagrams you can tell. Other than that all of those att will fit the hitches with some variation in hyd couplers.

Be careful, there is a old style hitch and a new style hitch for the 400 - 700 series tractors. The difference is exactly as you described; one sets on the hooks on the top of the hitch and swings down to engage the spring loaded pins and the other style works in the reverse (sets on the bottom hooks and swings up).
Both hitches will work on the 700 series but the new style is about an 1" longer then the old style so it requires a different drive shaft and up-stop.
IE: OLD style need the old style up-stop and drive shaft / New style needs the new style drive shaft and up-stop. You can not mix the two styles without risking damage to your machine. I know for a fact that the combination of old style hitch and new style drive shaft results in a condition were the drive shaft bottoms out when lifting the snowblower.

One other thing; I think I read that the QH for the 2210 was discontinued. Anyone know why? or did they just make it a 2305 QH since 2210 is out of production? I understood there was some kind of change to the driveshaft system ?
