You may require a replacement part for that tractor, chain saw or other lawn equipment. The majority of the manufacturers assembled parts come from Red China. In the selection of parts offered may include sparkplugs, filters, gaskets Etc. This "bait" makes their offering an attractive package. Prior to ordering, send the vendor an E-mail inquiry as to the "bait" applicability to your particular model of equipment. In my own experience even with complete model information forwarded to vendor there was an incompatibility problem evident. If you receive the incorrect "bait" demand a refund based on the cost of purchasing the correct plugs, gaskets Etc. E-bay will help in obtaining a refund.
Vendors attitudes vary as some are honest and correct the mistake, but others need E bay to step in! An informed consumer is a smart consumer! Any personal purchase:2cents: experiences with E bay?
Also avoid direct shipment from China. The package may arrive in the USA in a week, but it can de held in customs for weeks. Use avendor who ships from the USA, probably from a drop shipment warehouse. Makes returns simpler also.

Keep Well.

Getting the right OEM parts can be a challenge. Listings can be very generic and confusing.

If it's a one-of private seller, it's usually OK.

For other cheap parts sources, I always go with brick and mortar (USA) outfits, often found on E-Bay and make a phone call, then order on the phone. That has worked for me.

This warning does not apply just to parts. I purchased a name brand pepper grinder for a great price but received a Chinese knock off. I had no problem getting a full refund but the vendor did inquire why I gave him a less than satisfactory rating. Usually I do well with eBay purchases and so far when there's been a problem it has been rectified in a satisfactory manner.

It's been my experience that the Chinese have no interest in improving their communication on E-Bay or improving their listings but get really upset when you give them negative feedback. Kind of reminds me of a really lousy waitress, getting upset because you didn't leave a tip.

We purchased a "Kitchen Aid" branded attachment,, I think it was some kind of pasta maker,, from Amazon.

About a month later, we received a full refund, along with an email telling us to throw away the attachment, as some of them had been found to be knock-offs,,

I order stuff from China a lot on eBay. Generally it takes a month or two to get it so don't place an order if you are in a hurry. One from China is always cheaper than a Chinese one that is in stock in America for fast delivery. If I don't get what is described, eBay makes it good but it also takes some time to get the refund.

A manufacturer in China will get something like a Honda engine and clone it where it is almost identical and even can use Honda replacement parts and sell it much cheaper than a Honda and many times it is about as good as the original but they are not ethical doing that. Sometimes you get a great bargain buying one but now and then you get a dud. Many times you get a counterfeit item that was not made by the manufacturer that makes the real thing. And sometimes the counterfeit item is almost as good as the original and way cheaper but I hate supporting a dishonest vendor.

I have over 300 items purchased on ebay, most to support my hobbies. Some are for boats, tractors, and trucks, or yard/farm machinery. I find all suppliers go out of their way to ensure that I'm happy. On long shipping times, the posting for the item has delivery times listed and I have yet to have one arrive later than the window, even this year. Ebay guarantees your satisfaction and payment is secure. I have absolutely no problem purchasing frim them.....other than the state of Texas recently got them to add Texas Use Tax to Texas residents, like numerous other online merchants. Oh well, was good when it lasted.

The majority of my purchases have been good, but the criminals do exist. I rely less on E bay due to the Red(Huan) Chinese involvement their industries, believe there are industries untouched by Xi and his followers.

That's the problem with Chinese manufacturing. Send your blueprints developed at great engineering cost, to China to make your parts cheap... Discover later they're making twice the number you ordered and selling the rest on E-bay undercutting you. And that's for the good stuff. They also sell the rejects and flawed as first quality, making your brand look bad.

The whole intellectual property dispute has just hit your wallet. :2cents:
