While replying, you can click the "manage attachments" button and add pictures there by upoading them to this site. You will see the size limitations depending on what file type the pictures are. If you want to embed them into your post instead of a link, you can upload your pictures to a website like Photobucket.com and just put a link here or insert the picture to your post by using the image button on top of the reply box.

As far as making the url's (website links) shorter, this forum does it for you but for others you can sometimes just edit the link title. For the sites that don't allow that either, you can use TinyURL.com where you can insert the link and they give you a new link that is short and leads to the same page.

Well, I reckon I'm about to chime in. It is pretty easy task.

1) Register with one of many picture hosting sites for free. These are the places that you can upload your pics free for one pic at a time or batch uploading for a nominal fee (maybe arm and leg:D ). it is pretty easy and painless. it'll take an email adress, the site will leave a cookie (not chocolate variety but an identification of you on your computer). When you go to their website it allows you to upload.

2) After uploading your pic it would allow you different types of links in order to have access to the picture. For example they offer a link for forum posting. Highlight the link and right click copy it.

3) when you want to add a pic to your post, put the cursor where you want and paste the link and when you submit your reply the picture shows up. Pure magic.:D

By the way, that is the most efficient way of doing it as no TBN forum resources will be used and pictures are available to member without downloading and it is quite fast.

I'm done chiming now. Below please find below link for a registration host if you like to give it a go.

And the people that have no other choice but a dial-up connection will curse you the whole time that your picture is loading.

I know no good deed ever goes unpunished.

I would not curse anyone on such a non-issue. I reckon its their prerogative and I'm okay with it. You may know that you can upload a very small file appropriate for forum and website viewing. I know no one will upload pictures at full resolution they originally took the pics. It should take no time, I suppose you knew that.
