I'm in the final stages of a decision to upgrade BX24 to L3800 loader/BH. I see the Hydraulic pump capacity is 6.3 gpm/3.8 gpm (PS). This looks lower when compared to others in the same hp range. (L3240 is 8.3/4.9) Any thoughts if this will impact performance in any way? or not to worry as it's an ideal pump capacity for the design?

I will push the loader and backhoe hard as I have a 10 acre lot to work ... bush cutting, tree planting, prep for cottage build, and make a 700 foot driveway (Box Scrapper) through a hayfield, etc. This will be a long term project over the next 2 years.

I don't want a bigger tractor because it will be moving between home and cottage throughout the summer months.

hydraulic flow = speed. Pressure = force.

This is what I found about my tractor. I think for most applications like FEL etc. the pump is plenty. When needing a back-hoe to run off the tractor hydraulics the lower flow means a little slower response but it will still be strong.
