Ran it for 8 hrs today, issue didn't get any better, but it's workable. It digs well. My new plan is to swap a spool with an outrigger when i have a vacation in a few weeks. that should cure it and give me a looksee inside the valves.

That sounds like a plan, I've ordered full sets of hoses and valves in my next container, so if you can get by till then, we can put it right. 8 hours is a lot of diggin!

Ah, the first sunburn of the year, what joy! Maybe we need a way for the sunshade to flip back over the backhoe....hmmm...

I made mine to do that, but I can't find my pictures on here to save me.

I got me a good start on a sunburn this weekend too, (even though I worked 9 hrs friday and 9.5 today at work that left the nice sunny sat day oopen to BBQ some STEAKS and put in a barn window, the JINMA still has it's backhoe on, and I need to get the tiller on to finish the garden up. (used the walkbehind some and my brother took over while I framed the window.

I hope I didn't stear you wrong with the spool problem, make sure once you get the cover off to take a good look at the linkages too, make sure all is copasetic. check that hoseout as well.

i swapped the 2 short hoses and the problem stayed in the valve.

All the spools are identical so should be snap to swap em, just need to take the right tools. The linkages were working fine. I bet i am going to find crud in the spool or a spool that wasn't machined exactly right. in any event i have 2 outriggers to swap with the bad one, don't need to feather them anyway. If i get this little glitch solved it is one well built hoe. if swapping spools don't work, next the valve comes assembly comes apart.

Here is one picture of my canopy slid back over backhoe. Here is another shot. From the pictures it doesn't look like it goes back far enough, but it covers the backhoe console.
