Tractor
Mahindra 1815 HST
I have an 1815 HST and this part came off my tractor when I was coming up the driveway.
I don't know where it came from.
Anyone know what this is and where it may have come from?

I've attached a better image that is more clear.
This piece has threads at one end and is flat on the other end and about 6 inches long

Thanks,
Russ

Can't really tell. Looks like left end has cross hatching like on a prybar, and right end looks kind of flattened like on a tire tool. Did your tractor come with a tool kit?

Ok, now it looks like a turn indicator lever. Good luck, maybe someone with the same tractor will post something soon.

Russ,
The part you lost is one of the battery hold down rods.

Wow!!! This is really the place to come for answers!!! :)

How 'bout my own mystery Part? It's made of hard plastic and is about 1-1/4" in overall diameter and 1/4" total thickness. It's kinda like a black plastic washer... but formed in two steps... 1" wide and 1-1/4" wide. The wider portion is about twice as thick as the narrower portion:

This fell off the Red Beast months ago and I could never figure out where to put it back.

Is that part of the loose nut behind the wheel? :D :)

BTW.... I think your "package" shipped today...

At any rate, you must not need it and it is probably worth some money. Ebay???

It looks like one of the weights from the wheels turning in your head, Dougster.

Nope... WAY too light (in weight) for that! ;)

so how do you like the 1815? what kind of attachments do you have and what kind of work have you been doing with it? is there a mid mower for it yet?

I don't have any action pics.
Here are a couple of pics I took about a week ago.
I am really enjoying the tractor.
It's a very nice to drive with the hydrostatic drive and quite a bit of power.
There is a mid mower for this tractor but I think it's about twice the cost of a rear finish mower.
I've purchased a rear finish mower but still waiting for it.
So far I've moved alot of firewood with it and I'l like to get a log splitter for it eventually. I live on Vancouver island so it doesn't snow very often but when it does we usually get about a foot or more of wet heavy snow, so I'm looking forward to clearing the driveway this winter.
Thanks to LAWALLSTRACTOR my battery is secure again.

Doug,
I've been working on a 3510 and haven't been able to find a piece like you have. I'll keep looking.

Well, don't kill yourself! :D I found it kinda loose under the seat... so maybe that's a clue?

Dougster,
It might not even be off of your tractor. It might be something someone used as an installation aid while working on your tractor. Over the years, I have found all types of odd stuff on airplanes. I once found a short 2X4 in a fuel bladder on a Cessna twin. Looks like someone marked 4 hole positions on it. Do you have anything around the seat with that hole pattern. Then again, someone might have been planning a modifcation and gave up on it. But left your mystery piece.

Dougster, looks kinda like the little rubber piece under the springs or on the bottom side of the seat where the springs touch?

just a wild guess

That is entirely possible. I bought this tractor used and there is no telling what might have dropped out of the previous owner's pockets... although I can tell you for sure that there was no money! :(

That's the first thing I always check for! :D

It's got to have something to do with the seat or seat area. I just know it.

Well, maybe anyway... ;)
