Unknown MF model and year...

Hi guys,
New to the forum. I googled for Massey Ferguson forums, and this seems to be the best out there!
So, here's my question. We have inherited the MF shown in the pictures below. There are no badges to show the model number. It appears to have been painted, so maybe they were taken off and not replaced. The serial number is 9A 214714. I've tried looking up the number and a few sites seem to say it's a 200 series from 1975 (that's assuming I am reading the sites correctly). But, the body does not look like any 200 series I can find. Browsing photos online, the body and grill like more like a 140 or 135.

Any ideas on the model # and year?

Pretty sure you have MF 135 with the Perkins Diesel...my MF 135 serial also starts with 9A...probably around a '67/'68 or so...you can look up the serials and confirm google "Massey Ferguson 135 serial numbers". bobg in va

Appears to be a 1975 if the serial number you posted is correct. It is also a series 100. (135)

It also looks to have power steering. Do you know how long since it ran?

Thanks guys. I was confused because I saw some sites that listed that same set of numbers for 1975 200 series. The serial number is correct, assuming those 1's that look like I's are really 1's.

It runs now, or it did a couple months ago. We have a 240 that gets most of the use. We replaced the alternator and battery, but thats about it.

That's great that it's running or has recently. I'd like to see some photos of the dash area. I noticed it didn't have the trademark 135 emblems on the side. It's looks like with a bit of TLC it could be a very nice looking 135. I'd change the oil and check all the hydro fluids and look for leaks. Good luck to you.

Square fenders where used in Canada and the UK. Seems they wheren't too popular in the US. The clamshell is by far the standard in the US.

Looks a lot like my 1964 MF135 diesel deluxe. Post more photos showing the left side of the tractor, the rear, the instrument cluster and the shifter area so we can zero in on this baby.
