Uneven cut with my bushhog

I've noticed of late that my bushhog is not cutting cleanly the whole width. There is about a six inch strip on the right side that is not cut cleanly like the rest. Is this a result of dull blades, or something else? Thanks!

Is your BH a single blade or 2 blade.
If it's a 2 blade the blade could need sharpening.
If single or double blade it's also possible the deck could be bent where the bearing housing goes through so the blade isn't level when cutting. I would suspect the deck is bent.

Thanks, it is a two blade and I will look at it to see if the plate appears bent.

I had a problem my brush hog was not cutting level about 4 inches on both sides. I changed the blades and the problem was fixed. I suspect the blades got bent as they looked really bad. Anyway worth a try.

I think you might find that the uncut strip lines up with your right rear tire. It lays the grass over and unless your blades are very sharp or close too the ground it is hard to get that strip to cut.

I agree on tire pushing un-cut material down. Have you ever tried reversing direction of travel? Sometimes reverse direction gives a better cut especially if one isn't utilizing 100% of the cutting width of cutter.
