Ultimate brush clearing - Ratchet Rake

If you've got a serious brush problem, get a Ratchet Rake for your bucket. It's amazing how fast you can clear down to the dirt with this thing. However, if you're doing some really heavy clearing, you'll need to replace those cloth straps with chains. Then, you're good to go.

Thanks for the post. Yes, there have been several threads on TBN about the effectiveness of the Ratchet Rake. I have owned one for a few years and continue to find new applications for it. It's an inexpensive tool that increases the functionality of an expensive FEL. Regularly used it to eradicate Buckthorn.

I have owned mine for 4 years and love it. I use it extensively for brush clearing, small stump removal and digging up good size rocks. It's a definite time-save.
It is still as good as new and the strap system is holding up fine even after pushing logs and rocks.

I'm planning on using mine tomorrow to grade a steep slope going down to my pond so I can plant grass next spring and maintain it with my mower.

Be very careful, FELs and steep slopes are a bad combo. The extra weight of the Ratchet Rake will make it even more dangerous.
