U5030 vs XU 5055 HELP!

I'm going to step out and show my ignorance about this, but what us the issue with "covering your tire tracks" with the cutter. I see it talked about often but not for sure why. I understand wanting to save time by using the widest cut that your tractor (and pocketbook) can handle but was wandering about this.

I'm definitely getting a 6 footer because of cost and use at the deer lease. Also getting the U5030 with ag tires, and steel canopy.

You want a cutter that is at least as wide as your tractor because a narrower cutter won't mow close to fence lines, trees, etc.

Go with the Tier 3 Engine till they run our of T3's. Personally, my dealership bought a ton of tractors to keep the T3s in stock as long as we could.

I didn't get the canopy for mine. What did that run you, if you don't mind me asking ? I've hot a fiberglass bolt on Westendorf canopy that I am thinking about taking off my Kubota , cleaning up and painting the closest color to LS blue as I can find. If the price isn't too bad though , I may just buy one.

Thanks. Now trying to figure out which rotary cutter model to go with. I think I've narrowed it down between a Bush Hog BH 26 or a Land Pride RCR 2672 or RCF 2772?
