What this boils down to is that I cannot recommend anyone buy a TYM tractor. My first T574 cab tractor put my dealer and myself through a 30 month ordeal that according to my dealer made him sick. From the very first tank of fuel, as delivered from the dealer, the MIL (malfunction indicator light) and DPF lights came on and nothing would turn them off. That tractor was serial #00009, which I imagine puts it in early production category even though my dealer had to order it in October 2019. After my first report of this problem to my dealer, I waited two months with no action before asking if anyone was going to do anything. Long story short, after about 20 dealer visits to my farm and hauling the tractor back to the dealership for extensive work twice with the MIL and DPF lights reoccurring 5 times, my sending letters to TYM South Korea and my state attorney generals office, I was offered a replacement identical tractor or full refund. Since I had been many times told this was an isolated incident and I otherwise really liked the tractor, I took the replacement. Big mistake.
Now with 72 hours on the clock, the new tractor is having the exact same problem. I reported the problem to the dealer 9 months ago. The dealer notified his territory manager (TM) by phone and follow-up email. I have heard nothing from anyone even though again I wrote two letters to South Korea. My local (same town) dealer wrote me to look for another dealer to handle the warranty repair on a sale that he made the money on. I wrote back asking if that meant he was no longer going to service my tractor, to which I never received a reply.
In my experience, TYM is a terrible company to deal with if you have a warranty service problem, and I can not recommend that anyone buy any of their products. The above compilation is only a fraction of the problems that I endured. The 30 month ordeal made my dealer sick? What does he think it is like for me.
