TYM 353 HST PTO -- how to dis-engage so it rotates freely ??

is there a way to disengage the PTO so it will rotate freely ?

Most of the new tractors have a hydraulic brake system on them that locks the PTO shaft from turning. It may disengage when the engine stops. Both my LS and B.I.L's New Holland lock the PTO shaft. I have never checked the Kubota B26 to see if it locks as I just use it for a TLB.

Make sure the electronic engagement is off and also the PTO lever on the right side of the drivers seat is in the "off" position. It should turn by hand.

Yes. Sorry - the right side is the mid PTO. The rear is on the left.

WOW !! It works !! TURNS FREELY----after asking for 5 years, You solved my problem !! THANK YOU.
the book is of NO Value on this. My dealer closed a few months after i purchased the 353.
