Starting to dig into my DS3510, a few questions......

1. What is the orange plug bythe dipstick?

2. There are two red oil plugs, on in the back by the 3pt, and one right between the feet on the trans tunnel....I see the sight glass, but do those two fill points service the same fluid, the one for the sight glass? Does the trans, brakes, rear axle, and whole hydro system share the same fluid?

This is my first tractor, and I am the kind of person who plans on only goingto a dealer for parts, I DIY just about everything!.....I gotta get a real shop manual!

Did you check your book? It should be in there with all kinds of info.

Nothing at all about the orange plug, real vague on the other stuff. Maybe I need to read it again!

On my DK35, the orange plug is a port for oil to the cranckcase. There is also one at the top of the engine that is called the oil fill port in the owners manual and in the service manual, the orange cap one is not identified. NOTE: In cold weather, the orange cap has come off and oil has oozed out so make sure it is fully inserted in tube.

I'm NOT familiar with you specific model Kioti but on the DK-series the orange plug by the dipstick is where you put fresh oil after a change, NOT at the valve cover, due to possibility of the oil air-locking before it gets fully into the crankcase. Yours however MAY be different, but I tend to doubt it.
And again, unless your specific model is different the hydro fluid is shared and filled at the rear plug on the back of the tractor by the 3PH. The ONLY place that takes it own separate fluid is the front axle, which can also use UTF, (Universal Tractor Fluid). There may be a sight glass for the front axle inboard of the steering knuckle. If so, there is likely a white ball which should be centered in a red circle in the sight glass. Don't overfill, you could blow out a seal. Fill gradually and drive a little then check sight glass, etc. until full to dot/ bullseye on glass.
