Quote---You can click on it to make it bigger. Try it. You will see the image will open in a new window. I think it is the easiest way to see the photos as you can have a preview of each one and see which one you want to look at.

To do it you need to have already resized the pictures as here. It is not as important to have it small this time as the reader can chose whether to view it or not but it still must be below 1024 X 768 PX.

You also need to have created a Photobucket account, described how to here.

Lastly, you must have uploaded a picture already you want to show.

Once all this is done you can post the image
Find the picture(s) you want to show and click the little tick box underneath them on the left.
Then go down to the bottom of the page where it says Generate HTML and IMG Code.
This will generate a load of different codes. You are looking for the one that says IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards recommended
It is the third box down. Click on it and it will automatically copy it.
Then go back to Tractor By Net and write out your message.
Then right click roughly where you want the picture to go and click paste.
Then click on Preview. You will see your picture come up and you can click on it to enlarge it.
You can fiddle around with moving it by using enter the centre, left and right buttons and the spacebar.

Thats all there is to it. Not too bad at all."--end quote

This is what I am doing and I cannot get it to work. What am I doing wrong?

Don't understand the problem? That is a JPG. The thumbnail option appears to have dissapeared from Photobucket. If thats what you are trying to do. This one is too big but I can not resize your pictures on your account.

Actually as of some time last week I think. The show photos option got turned on and all you have to do now is attach a photo and it will automatically show in the post. At least does for me.

OK--I resized to "thumbnail" but this small photo is not clickable. Beat me but I have photos to post and can't figure it out. I have Windows Vista if it matters.

If you just attach the photo using the manage attachments button it will look just like this. You do not need to use photobucket. Just click the go advanced button and then manage attachments. Up load your photos. They really need to be resized to 640 or so.

Click browse and find the photo on YOUR computer. You can do multiple pics at the same time by clicking the next lower browse. After that click the upload button. After they upload click close . Then click submit reply.

JIMBROWN

Thank you so very much for helping out. I'm actually pretty clever but the first time at this had me baffled. More to come and with warmer weather I can get stuff out and post away. Thanks again for sticking with me

You really need to resize those things down to 640X426 or so. That way they will fit the screen better and not fill up the forum servers with overly large pictures. Just a thought. I do not think you can see the pic in the preview I can't. Now if you post them from photobucket they will show up in the preview. I can not find the thumb nail option on photobucket anymore. It may be there but they sure have hid it.

Jim--
Thanks for all your help. I have it figured out now and will resize my photos to 640 X 426 before sending. It is easy to do on photobucket but I may just adjust my camera.
I could not have done this today without your help.

Thank you

Thanks again.
I have been trying, in a peripheral half-a$*$ed way, to post a JPEG for a year now. Our rapid back and forth messages were diffcult but it was the only way for me to learn. While I use computers constantly at work, my 60 years and short attention span had held me back. Now I know.
