This is the KB2365 backhoe hydraulic diagram according to Kioti. To me, it doesn't make any sense! Does it makes sense to you?

If you look at the P side of things, all valves but the last one have PB capability but the last one is connected to a blocked port when in neutral? This would mean that unless a joystick is activated, all fluid has to go through the relief valve. What???

Second, beside the Dipperstrick tank port which goes to tank, all the other tank ports are connected together and... that's it??? How is the hydraulic fluid supposed to make its way back to the tank???

What is going on here?!? Am I missing something obvious here or was the person that drew this on drug or what???

BTW, I looked at the KB2475 diagram and it's exactly the same.

I'm guessing just an oversight on whoever drew it up. All tanks should be connected and a single return....and the whole stack would be open center.

Just wondering why the boom has a float valve? Never seen that on a backhoe?

But to carry over from early model to current one and not bother correcting it? Show some pride to what you do lol

As for the float, so you can scoop without digging?

I have never once found myself wanting float on the boom of any backhoe or ex.

With manual controls and not electric or pilot......I just push the sticks all the way to move the fastest to get back into position before I start feathering and digging. I think I'd find it annoying to be constantly popping into float.

Does the hoe "actually" have a detent to float....or is it another error in the manual?

I agree wrong on several points, it would not work as drawn.

Float on the boom is helpful when trenching, all you have to control is the crowd and bucket cylinders. Really helps when cleaning out the bottom of the trench.

I'm leaning to shame their Twitter and Facebook account by asking what's their pride if they can't correct gross errors in their service manuals that has been there for many years.

Mind you, they are the same company that have many manuals (owners, service, parts, labor, etc) AND complaint letters from client on a website publicly available, so they probably don't care...
