I just noticed the belt pulleys on the front of transmission will move in and out about 1/4". I was changing belt positions when I noticed it. What is the problem and it is easily fixed?
This is the four speed model.

They all move. I think for alignment purposes. Not a problem.

Just got a used Horse myself. Read through the manual and that movement is normal. It allows for shifting between Fwd and Rev and between the Hi and Low gear by sliding the belt over. Unless the belt is stretched too much, then it might need to be replaced. You can also adjust the tension. Might want to check the manual for that.
